Company and Union Resume Negotiations

Kroger Columbus and UFCW Local 1776ks will meet Thursday to resume bargaining your new Ohio Valley contract.

As a reminder, last month the company and union agreed to pause the bargaining process. This pause gave both parties times to thoroughly research and consider the proposals which have been presented. This is meaningful and necessary work as both the company and union have a responsibility to thoughtfully consider each proposal to ensure we are able to reach a fair and balanced agreement.

Our Focus Remains in You
As we return to the bargaining table, we want to reaffirm that our goal for this negotiation is to:

  • Invest in our associates by putting more in your paychecks
  • Maintain low-cost, high-quality healthcare
  • Continue to provide a stable means for retirement

What Happens Next
Our collective bargaining agreement with UFCW Local 1776ks does not expire until August 10. This means all the terms and conditions of your contract, including wages and benefits, remain in effect until you have voted to ratify your new contract.
