Company and Union Bargaining Committees Open Contract Discussions

Kroger Columbus Division and UFCW Local 1059 bargaining committees started negotiations this week on a new contract for the Columbus and Central Ohio associates.

Initial Proposals Exchanged

The first two days of bargaining provided an opportunity for the Union and Company bargaining committee members to provide personal introductions and deliver their opening presentations.  Later, they exchanged opening proposals and counter proposals on contract language.

What’s New

The bargaining committees are scheduled to meet on July 24, 2025 and the week of July 28, 2025.

Why it Matters

Bargaining for new contracts is a thoughtful process and can take time. By working together and discussing ideas, we can reach an agreement that is good for our associates and keeps groceries affordable, too.
